- Contact your cell phone carrier to verify if you will have service in Rocky Point. Some carriers can give you temporary service while in Mexico.
- Your auto insurer may not cover you Mexico. Contact them for temporary insurance down there, or you can buy temporary auto insurance for your stay in Mexico at various location on your way there.
- Passports are needed for adults and children 16 and over to cross back into the United States. Birth certificates for children under 16.
- Don’t drink the tap water. Bring bottled water or buy bottled water there for drinking and cooking.
- The kitchen in this home is equipped with all the utensils you’ll need for cooking, but not the food, oils, seasonings, etc… bring everything you need to prepare your meals or plan on shopping in town.
- The exchange rate is better at the border than in the town of Rocky Point.
- Canopies and folding chairs are recommended for your trips to the beach.
